Florida Small Businesses are Exporting Goods

Exporting goods is on the rise for Florida small businesses. According to an online survey of 500 businesses conducted by the National Small Business Association, 64 percent of those businesses had sold merchandise or services to a customer in another country in 2012, compared to 52 percent in 2010.

“The growth we’re seeing in small business exporters underscores a broad change in attitude about exporting,” said David Ickert, the chair of NSBA. “Not only are small businesses seeing growing opportunities available to them via exporting, they increasingly view their good and/or services as valuable in a global marketplace.”
