USA Immigration Scam

USA Immigration ScamThere have been numerous accounts of a USA immigration scam recently. The scammers call and send scam emails targeted to immigrants living in the United States. The scammers claim that they are from the USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) and that you (the immigrant) must respond to them to continue your immigration process.

They will say that there is a problem with an immigration application or that the application requires additional information. They will ask for personal information and details and additional payment of fees to continue the immigration process.

Remember, USCIS will never ask for payment over the phone or by email!

If you are being asked over the phone or by email to submit additional payment, then it is a USA immigration scam.

You are asked to forward the suspicious email to the USCIS at [email protected]. The USCIS will review the emails received and share them with law enforcement agencies if they are deemed to be scams. You are also asked to report receive any scam phone calls or emails you receive to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) at http://1.usa.gov/1suOHSS.
